Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.

Life is sooo busy right now... I am thinking about moving to Aruba for a year, Holland is just too cold for me. But in order to do so I need to make a lot of arrangement and that takes a whole lot of time... Following your dreams never is that easy is it.. sigh.. Nevertheless I WILL be blogging from the most beautifull place on earth, Aruba, before you know it.  I know this because, it is my destiny.

Whats yours?

Till then I'm enjoying my Markus Lupfer inspired outfit. Markus Lupfer dress pictured above, my asos version below :)

"Style" is an expression of individualism mixed with charisma. Fashion is something that comes after style...

Yay yay, My asos order is in, and I looovee it!! In a few weeks my girlfriend is celebrating her birthday in Antwerpen Belgium, and I can not wait to wear this outfit. It is sooo fierce, so hot, so sexy, so amazing it blows my mind.

Well, let me start with the dress. Its from Asos and I bought it for €27,-. I love it because it can spice up everything else you are wearing only because of the print. You can wear it with neon accesoires and sexy stilleto's if you are feeling sexy and wanna go out. But you can also easily wear it with some black leggings, boots and a long vest to work or something like that.
Second, my new favorite ring. The rock and roll two-vinger-ring from Asos, bought for only €9,95. Isn't it cool!

The pumps, well they speak for itself. These are no plain jane, average girl kinda pumps lol. They are actually from H&M €29,95. I really think H&M stepped up their game, I love their clothes much more than a few years ago.  New edit directors or something I guess...

Did anyone get some of their Jimmy Choo collection which was released yesterday? Did anyone of you fashionista's sleep in front of the H&M store frontdoor lol? If you did it must have been worth it! Let me know what you got!

And don't forget to sign up for my "because Im a girl" blog give-away ladies! And if you are not following me yet, follow me bitches. :)

Television is not real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs...

I havent blogged in a while, not so much inspiration I guess, but here I am. I ordered the sexiest dress ever!! It is so Amber Rose like, it's formfitting so lets hope it will suit me right. It's so amazing cannot wait to wear this with some great neoncolorpumps. But where can I get those? I need some new online shops to shop, any suggestions?
I also ordered some other stuff which I cannot post because its a present for my girlfriend Olita and she reads this stuff too, so I can not reveal that yet. To be continued...

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character....

So you must have heard about the Vogue Paris spread of October 2009 where the model was painted brown. The point of the photographer was to show that one face, Lara Stone's face, could apply in a black girl, an arrabic girl, a hispanic girl and in a white girl. Now French Voque is being accused of racism.. hmmm.. what to think of that huh!
I mean, there are so many beatifull brown skinned models only think about Chanel Iman ( mos def going to post her one time) Selita Ebanks, Alek Wek, Kiara Kabukuru, Noemie Lenoir, Oluchi Onweagba, Naima Mora... must I go on? So if they wanted a dark model, why not just book one in stead of painting a light girl brown.
Im not sure what to think about this. Im torn. Obviously the Lara Stone pictorial is gorgeous but I am not so sure about the message it brings. Lets hope Carine Roitfeld's  spread wasnt meant to provoke. But one thing is clear, it was a little insensetive..
Anyways, there are many thoughts on this subject and some people will see this spread as racist, others will see it as art. When you are right you cannot be too radical; when you are wrong, you cannot be too conservative. I just thought, lets post a brown girl painted white to compensate! So here we go, our beloved Tyra Banks painted white :) Or maybe thats of poor taste too?  :S  Aaah, what the heck, they both looks fantastic, black or white!

Love is much like a wild rose, beautiful and calm, but willing to draw blood in its defense....

Some time ago I wanted to do a "favorite model post" again but I never got around to it so lets do it today. In my eyes Lily Cole is one of the most beautiful girls in the world. She looks like a doll, its just crazy!
AND she is known to date Jude Law ( my future husband lol, life is soo not fair :S) Lily has done anything from Voque to Numero to Moshino commercials to Chanel...  Dont you just love her angelic face!?

Be careful what you wear to bed at night, you never know who you'll meet in your dreams...

For the first time I ordered something from the H&M Home line and I must say I love it. And is was soo cheap! I paid only €15 for the beddings and an additional €8 for the extra pillow covers! Dont you love it!

It makes me wanna lay in bed all day lol. There is nothing better freshly made bed, a good book and some hot coco with whipped cream now the days are getting shorter, colder and darker...

H&M beddings €15 in sale and pillow covers €8

I have always wanted my colours to sing....

After my latest "heavy posts" I wanted to blog something more light and back to my roots fashion lol.
A couple of days I went to a "theatreshop" called Backstage where they sell amazing make up, wigs, and my love NAILPOLISH!
I looovee nailpolish so much. You will rarely see me without it.
I think a funky colour on your nails can really bring that little extra to an outfit.
An all black look can be topped of and pimped out with an fluorescent yellow to break the black.
My latest conquest are these two colours called Star Gazers, isnt the name fab in its own lol. I especially loovee the yellow one, it is so bright it almost hurts your eyes lol. I love to wear it with grey sequin and mettalics.
What is your favorite brand or colour? And with what colours do you mix it?

Star Gazer Nailpolish €4,95 from "Backstage"

It is not the body's posture, but the heart's attitude that counts when we pray. It is the mind that makes the body....

I was going to post some pictures of Gemma Ward an Lilly Cole, two of my favorite models when I stumbled upon this dark website by accident. It was a pro-ana website. I had never heard of such a thing, or saw something like it, and I was shocked.

Being raised in a mostly black and latin community I grew up believing womanly curves are sexy. Skinny girls were never populair or considered desirable in my neighborhood so this is, although I know of its existence, totally new to me, and it made quite an impression. It felt like I was entering some dark, secret world as I was reading forum posts from anorexic girls on how to suppress hunger and tips on how to loose weight.

I do think terrible disease is fueled by using super skinny girls in all fashionmagazines and commercials. Girls like Gemma Ward and Lilly cole. There are so many young, and insecure girls in the world who feel unpretty because of having to stand at the busstop next to a lifesize pictures of Victoria Beckhams and Nicole Richies. I would like to use this blog as a channel to your livingroom and maybe make you stop for a second and raise awareness for this cause, just as that website made me aware. If you suspect someone you know to have any form of an eating disorder please check out this website. It informs you on how to identify  eating disorders and gives tips on how to help approach someone who you feel is suffering from this disease. "Thinspiration" is not a fase!

Music is what feelings sound like. Music and rhythm find their way into the secret places of the soul...

I usually do not post a lot of musicvideos, I mostly stick to the whole fashion and shopping theme, but this is an exception...
This is for the women, the single women, the strong women, the hurt women, the working mama's, the weary women, as a matter of fact I think all women can relate to these lyrics...
Amel Larrieux, I can honestly say she is my favorite artist. I use the word artist because the way she uses poetry as lyrics, does unusual things with her voice and her sound, she always seem to amaze me. For the record, no, this song isn't about how I feel now lol.
If you like it, listen to my favorite Amel Larrieux songs "Sweet Misery" and especcially "We can be new"  because of the beautifull songtekst..

What is your favorite song??? Let me know!!

Lyrics to Weary :

This woman is growing weary
Of having to be so strong
Of having to pretend I’m made of stone
So I won’t end up with no broken bones
I can’t fight every battle alone

I want someone to lift me
Heal my wounds and give me kisses on my head
Say words that should be said
Fear is not the matter
I would so much rather open up my heart
And lay down my guard

Chorus:
If I could trust someone
To have my back and never do me wrong
Then I would give my love up
Just like that stop singing this soldier song

whomever said love was overrated
must not be getting’ none
my independent days have had their fun
but when the parties over
and the workin’ day is done
I just want to come home to someone

I want a love to take me
As I am not make me compromise myself
Or be like no one else
Fear is not the matter
I would so much rather open up my heart
And just lay down my guard

The ring so worn, as you behold, so thin, so pale, is yet of gold....

Phoebe Philo for the Celine 2010 spring collection.  I love this outfit, it is sexy a, futuristic, rock and of course totally unaffordable but what the heck.. I would totally wear this with some biker boots and this ring. To bad I forgot the designer name of the ring, because it is so fierce!

How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours....

Today, while driving home, I saw this bag laying on the streets. So I stopped the car, looked around if I saw anyone whom it could belong to, but I saw nobody and decided to take it home with me. When I got home I checked it out en found a wallet with some cards in it and a mobile phone. While snooping around in the phone trying to find out who it belonged to, I found a contact called mom in the adressebook. So I sent a sms to "mom" where I tell her I found the bag and it could be collected. She immediately called me back to let me know how happy she was I found the bag and that she felt blessed that I was honest enough to contact the owner because there were some very important papers in that purse. Altough it was just the right thing to do, I felt like I had done a good deed and I loved the feeling it gave me!

I try to do good deeds regularly because I do believe al it takes is one good deed to change a life and change the world. You may never know when you touch peoples hearts, but you allways do... You never know how badly that compliment was needed or how much your criticism affected somebody.

A couple of years ago I found this website which gives me lots of inspiration to help people. Have a look at it! http://www.helpother.org/ There are some beautiful stories on there and though I havent posted a lot of stories I did do a few, and THIS is one of them.
What is your lastest "good deed", or how did you touch a heart?

Dust is a protective coating for fine furniture....

Me wearing:
vintage hat, vintage H&M denim jacket, H&M overzized sweater, black leggings and H&M Dr Martins look-a-like boots...

Being sick and all, all of a sudden, I have a lot of spare time on my hands. So I decided to posts a picture of an outfit wich includes some of my most recent H&M victories.
Some time ago I went to the Ikea with my girlfriend to try and find a little cabinet for my schoolbooks. Of course, I ended up buying much more than that. I always seem to discover how much new stuff I really "need" when I get there, lol. Dont you guys have that?
Anyways, that was not where I wanted to blog about. I loved the outfit I was wearing! First of all, it is super comfertable (the people who read my blog regularly know I like my outfits to be just that), second I got to wear that hat again lol. The hat fotographes really good...
The shoes got real dirty the last time I wore them. Me girls and I got stuck in the sand with the car, and trying to free ourselfs they got messed up pretty bad. I never got around to cleaning them but to be honest, I kinda like it. It makes them look better then when they are all shiny and new I think...

Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping....

I know I haven't blogged in a while but my computer broke down. I nearly lost ALL my music and pictures! But after a few days of mourning I got the phonecall from heaven; the computer was saved and I still have my pictures. I am soo happy!!! Life without my computer was sooo hard lol.

Well in the meantime I received my latest H&M order! And although I really think H&M stepped their game up ( I like their stuff so much lately) I allways find myself sending half of my order back. This time was no exception but I did get some really cool stuff! Check out the pictuers.
I already loooveee the boots, I want to wear them everyday lol because they feel soo comfertable The taupe leather skirt and the grey oversized sweater are favorite to. So many new outfits with just a few items, I love it!

Boots €29.95 / grey high waist jeans €29.95

grey suede booties €44.96 / taupe leather skirt €19.95

black vest €17.95

grey oversized sweater €29.95
