When you are asked if you can do a job, tell 'em, 'Certainly I can!' Then get busy and find out how to do it...

If there is one thing I love, it is to see a strong powerful businesswoman with a great sense of style. A woman wearing the kind of outfit that makes you want to look twice.

Oke, I get it, sometimes it is more difficult to find a fashionable outfit to wear to work than a casual outfit. There are these unwritten rules which apply to a good office look. You don’t want to show too much skin, you don’t want to wear too many prints or shocking colors. You do want an outfit that represents you, one that makes you look good by wearing items that accenture you good assets and hiding your.. well eh, not so good assets. You want to look capable of doing the job and representative for the company without having looking to boring.

So here are some Melodees tips:

1- Don’t wear jewelry that is too flashy or jewelry that jangles! So no chandelier earrings or stacks of bangles, the noise they make can be very distracting.

2- A big yes are nice, manicured nails. Clean nicely polished nails give you a nice polished image which we love.

3- Try to avoid bringing your hobo bags, they often bring a sloppy feel with them, which is great for the beach but for the office or a meeting? Not so much.

4- A few colors which work for almost everybody are navy (trustworthy), gray (conservative) and black (chic). These colors work great in pantsuits, skirts and shoes. When you wear a great black pantsuit you can afford wearing some of the more feminine colors that are appropriate like soft pink and ivory.

5- Don’t wear clothes that may be considered too sexy. When I talk about too sexy I mean see-through lace, miniskirts, spaghetti straps, sheer sundresses and stuff like that. You want people to listen to what you have to say, not to stare are your boobs :) But if you do wnat people to stare at your boobs, maybe see-through-lace is it for you lol
6- Wear shoes that are both cute as comfortable. No open toes though.

7- If there is one thing I dislike, not only in the office but also in casual occasions, its people wearing items which are covered in brand logos. We love Chanel but we do not love a Chanel logo prints on your blouse lol.

8- Wear clothes in which you feel strong and comfortable, this will shine through.
